Founded in 1763, Jericho’s landscape of hills and streams influenced its origin as a manufacturing town. While Vermont may be famous for its Winter Skiing, Jericho is famous for being the birthplace of Wilson “Snowflake” Bentley, the first person to photograph a snowflake. The town has a population of 5,009, as of 2010. Jericho has a very rural, small town atmosphere that several Vermonters desire.
